Akash Khamkar

I liked working with the Computers since I was a kid. I started with adding mods to the games that I used to play, to installing custom ROMS on the outdated phones in the house.

I first saw python shell when I was 13 years old , coding fascinated me. Later on I taught myself java and basic web development. After that I started learning the MERN stack. JS became my primary language for development.

I like to build stuff that I can actually use in my day to day life,

Currently I am in 3rd year of Computer Engineering at Savitribai Phule Pune University.

These days I am building few personal projects primarily using MERN stack and learning more about Operating Systems and System Design.

Due to pandemic my college is closed , hence currently I am in my hometown in Argaon, Ratnagiri (Kokan), Maharashtra, India.

Since I have been here, I got to learn things that I would not have gotten time to learn in regular pre-pandemic life. I read books on subjects such as Psychology, Evolution and Philosophy. Also I learned more about the music theory, painting, video editing.

On top of that, evening walks are very peaceful over here.

I play guitar. I like Rock, Funk and Blues genres. John Frusciante, John Mayer and BB King are my idols.

Apart from guitar, I like to do photography whenever I am out. I do painting/ drawing sometimes, it has helped me in my web designs.
